作者強(qiáng)調(diào)的是在華氏211度(約攝氏99.444度)時(shí)，水就滾了，但是要到212度（約攝氏100度）時(shí)，水才會(huì)開，而滾開的水就會(huì)冒出蒸汽，而有了蒸汽就可以驅(qū)動(dòng)一部火車。

作者強(qiáng)調(diào)只有一度之差，就決定成功和失敗，而一度的所獲得的成就和獎(jiǎng)賞就有如天壤之別。
