A: We’re going to need a lot of new stuff after the holidays. Let’s make a list.
B: Fine, Mr. Richardson. What do you have in mind?
A: Well, to begin with, we’re going to have to get a new desk for you and I’d like to replace that old typewriter.
B: Yes! I agree! We could really use another one! I’ll get on that right away! What else would you like to order?
Passing along a request
A: Mr. Blake? Mr. Foster’s on the phone. He’d like to know if you can send over those training manuals?
B: Oh, tell him I’ll leave them at his office tomorrow afternoon.
A: He was hoping that you could drop them off this afternoon.
B: I’m afraid that I can’t do that. They’re at the printer’s being copied. They’ll be back tomorrow before 1 o’clock.
